Need a creative weekly practice? Interested in painting? Interested in mixed media? This class explores basic techniques in various mediums. How do we approach self-portraiture? What are the steps to painting a still life? We will dive into mapping out compositions and filling our paintings with color. All supplies are included and no experience is necessary... just a commitment to your artist practice. Exploratory Art Class details: Age: Adults Day: Thursdays Time: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm Price: $28 a week for 8 weeks (subscription March-May) Time Schedule: 6:00-6:15p demo of activity by Gia 6:15-7:15p exploration and processing of activity 7:15-7:30p reminders and cleaning up Description: This is a beginner’s guide to exploring different art techniques. I will be teaching basic strategies for each medium. We can discuss future classes where we dive deeper into each category. This class is like “dipping your toes” into art. My goal is to keep you in a creative practice where it evolves into something special and unique to you. In my opinion, making art is a practice not just a one-time event. Just like going to the gym, you dedicate yourself to the routine.. and in this area of your life.. it’s exploring your creativity. You will be surprised at what unlocks inside of you.
